Groma Kolibri
a Font for Tommy
At the request of Art Director Yuthi Meas, I designed a custom font family inspired by Tommy Hilfiger’s Groma Kolibri typewriter. I typed extensive samples to capture the machine's unique characteristics—distortions, natural distress, and typographic quirks. The final font family included three regular versions, one bold, and two creative styles based on recurring typographic "mistakes." Adjusting the kerning to reflect the typewriter's imperfections added to the authenticity. This unforgettable project showcased the beauty of analog design and remains one of my proudest achievements.
